Researchers use surveys as a tool to understand the needs and expectations of their target audiences. Surveys often include many types of questions to measure attitudes or opinions about certain topics.
After you submit your survey, researchers will analyze your and other participants' responses and look for patterns in the results. They can then share these findings with their teams and use the feedback to improve their products and services.
- Take your time completing a survey

Do I need to install anything?
Nope! You'll open the survey link in your web browser.
Are there any device or web browser requirements?
Your web browser should meet the following requirements:
- Chrome, Firefox, Edge: Current version and previous version
- Safari: Versions 14.0-15.3 only
Can I change the survey language?
The UserTesting Platform supports English, French, German, and Spanish.
The person who creates the survey can write the survey questions in other languages. When you take your survey, the questions will always appear in whichever language the survey creator originally wrote them.
However, you can display other parts of the survey (e.g., buttons) in one of the supported languages by changing your browser language.
What kind of questions can I expect?
Most of the questions you answer will be related to your attitudes and opinions, but you might
also answer a few demographic questions (e.g., your age, employment status, etc.).
Here are some question formats you might encounter during a survey:
- Single choice: You'll have the option to select only one answer to a question.
- Multiple choice: You'll have the option to select multiple answers to a question.
- Written response: You'll provide a typed response to a question or prompt.
- Rating scale: You'll select your preferred choice from a range of options (e.g., "Please rate your agreement with the following statement: 'I understand what I can do on this site.' (1 = Strongly disagree | 5 = Strongly agree)")
Do I have to share my personal information?
No, you're never required to provide any personal information you're uncomfortable sharing. To learn more about our security practices and recommendations, please review our Privacy Policy and Privacy Guide.
What if there's a technical issue?
To avoid any technical issues, please make sure:
You're using a compatible device web browser (review our minimum system requirements).
Your device has a strong internet connection (Wi-Fi or wired).
Please let our Support team know if you can't complete your survey as expected because of a technical problem. You'll fill out a short form with a detailed description of the issue, and they'll get back to you by email as quickly as possible.
Is there a way to share accessibility feedback?
Yes, of course! We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience, so we encourage you to use our request form to share any feedback.
How much am I paid?
If the person who invited you to take the test offered payment in exchange for your feedback, you'll need to contact them for more information.
Because we don't manage payments for invited survey participants, we're unable to answer any questions about incentives or rewards for your participation.
