In order for our Android mobile recorder app to work on your device, it requests various permissions. We understand that these permissions may seem confusing so we’d like to let you know why we request each one.
Privacy Permissions
Audio
- record audio
This allows the app to record your feedback through your microphone.
Accounts
- find accounts on the device
- use accounts on the device
This permission is used to log in / sign up participants using accounts found on the device.
Device Access Permissions
Network Connections
- full network access
This allows the app to communicate with our servers to upload your completed recordings.
- view network connections
This allows the app to view information about network connections such as which networks exist and are connected.
- view Wi-Fi connections
This allows the app to view information about Wi-Fi networking, such as whether Wi-Fi is enabled and the name of connected Wi-Fi devices.
Application Access
- retrieve running apps
This allows the app to retrieve information about currently and recently running tasks.
- draw over other apps
This allows our recorder to track your gestures and draw them on the screen so the client can see how you navigate their website or app.
Power Usage
- prevent phone from sleeping
This allows the app to prevent the phone from going to sleep.
