1. Will I be compensated for tests I participate in?
If you opted in to receiving payments when you created your account, then UserTesting may compensate you for tests you complete.
If you checked the box to not receive payments when you created your account, then UserTesting will not compensate you for tests you complete.
If you did not have this option when you were creating your account, then UserTesting will not compensate you for tests you complete.
Keep in mind that different tests may offer different amounts in compensation, so be sure to take note of the payment offered on your Available Tests page.
2. How do I know if I'm eligible for payment?
To find out if you are eligible for payment, please contact our Support Team here.
3. How am I paid?
All test participants are paid through PayPal. You must have a confirmed PayPal account in good standing to receive payments.
💡 Tip: We recommend using a verified personal PayPal account. You do not need a PayPal Premier or Business account to be a UserTesting participant.
UserTesting does not withhold any taxes from payments. As a participant, you are responsible for determining and paying any tax liabilities incurred from payments received by UserTesting.
Learn how to update your PayPal email in our system here.
4. When am I paid?
Payment is received exactly 7 days after the test is completed, including the time of day. For example, if you complete a test around 5:00PM, you should expect to be paid7 days later, around 5:00PM. Occasionally PayPal has 24-48 hour delays on payments, so please wait an extra 48 hours before contacting support about a payment issue since it should resolve itself.
