You’ll receive an email notification after any change is made to your email, password, or PayPal.

How do I update my account email address?
- Open your dashboard menu, and click Settings.
- Once you're on the Settings page, scroll to the Edit email section.
- Click Change.
- To keep your information safe, you’ll receive an email with a one-time code. Look for an email from us titled, “Your UserTesting verification code.” Copy the verification code from the email and paste it into the Enter verification code field.
NOTE: UserTesting will never ask you to enter your verification code outside of the Account Settings page. Please do not share this code outside of our platform. - Click Update, and you’re all set!
How do I update my account password?
- Open your dashboard menu, and click Settings.
- Once you're on the Settings page, scroll to the Edit password section.
- Enter your current password and your new password. You’ll need to enter your new password twice to confirm it’s correct.
- Click Update, and you should be good to go!
How do I update my PayPal email address?
You can easily make changes to your PayPal address from your dashboard.

Update your PayPal email address from a computer
- Open your dashboard menu, and click Settings.
- Once you're on the Settings page, scroll to the Edit PayPal email section
- Click Connect PayPal account. If you’ve already connected your PayPal account but need to connect to a different account, just click Change.
- To keep your information safe, you’ll receive an email with a one-time code. Look for an email from us titled, “Your UserTesting verification code.” Copy the verification code from the email and paste it into the Enter verification code field. You’ll also need to enter your current account password.
NOTE: UserTesting will never ask you to enter your verification code outside of the Account Settings page. Please do not share this code outside of our platform. - Click the Connect PayPal account button.
- You should be redirected to the PayPal website. Follow the onscreen instructions to log into your PayPal account. Following these steps will automatically connect your PayPal and UserTesting accounts.
NOTE: Your banking details stay private and are not shared with UserTesting. - Once you’ve linked your PayPal account, your PayPal email address will automatically update. When you return to the Settings page, a badge will appear to show that your account is now Connected.

Open the UserTesting app. Tap the More tab to view the menu options, and then tap on PayPal Email.

Tap Connect PayPal account. If you’ve already connected your PayPal account but need to connect a different account, just tap Change PayPal account.

Once you’ve linked your PayPal account, your PayPal email address will automatically update. When you return to the UserTesting app, a checkmark will appear to show that your account is now connected.
I can’t connect my account. What should I do?
Try connecting your PayPal account again, and check the following:
- The code you provided matches the verification code in the email you received.
- Your UserTesting account password is correct (If you can’t remember your password, use the password reset form).
- Your PayPal login information is accurate (For help with logging into your PayPal account, review the PayPal article, “What can I do if I can’t log in?” ).

How do I adjust my notification preferences?
You can also adjust your Notification Preferences on the Settings page.
If the toggle is blue and the circle is on the right, the notification setting is set to "on." If the toggle is grey and the circle is on the left, the notification setting is set to "off."
How do I delete my account?
The last option on the Settings page lets you delete your account. Please note that this action cannot be undone.
