Live Conversations are one-on-one conversations through an online video-conferencing tool called Zoom. You will speak directly to a customer during these conversations. For a Live Conversation Mobile Interview, you will speak with the customer via your mobile device. The customer may ask you to complete a set of tasks, share your screen, or answer questions.

What you’ll need in order to participate
- An iOS or Android device that meets our minimum requirements
- The Zoom mobile app (available in App Store and Google Play Store for free)
- 30 or 60 minutes of free time
- A quiet, distraction-free space
Step-by-Step: Scheduling a Live Conversation Mobile Interview
First, you’ll see a Live Conversation Mobile Interview invitation in your Test Feed. You can recognize a Live Conversation Invite by the "Live Conversation" badge.
In addition to any screeners the customer may ask, you’ll be asked if you are comfortable with sharing your video, voice, screen, and display name during the test. If you are not comfortable sharing these, you should not schedule a Live Conversation.
You’ll be asked to arrive 15 minutes early, so make sure you have ample time to complete the Live Conversation on that date and time. If you do not see a time that works for you, then select “I’m not available during these times.”
Once you choose a time slot you are confident you will be able to attend, click “Submit Availability.” You will see a confirmation screen with details regarding your test.
You should also receive a confirmation email that lists the details of your Live Conversation. We highly recommend adding these details to your calendar as a reminder for yourself.
If you discover that you will not be able to attend, please cancel your Live Conversation from the banner at the top of your dashboard. If possible, please try to cancel at least 24 hours beforehand so that the customer can find someone else to fill the time slot.
Installing the App
Search for Zoom Cloud Meetings in the App Store or Play Store. Download and install this free app.
The Day of your Interview
- Make sure you’ve downloaded the Zoom app on your mobile device
- Be ready 15 minutes before your scheduled start time
- Tap the “Join Interview” button in the Reminder Email you received. This email is sent out 4 hours before your scheduled start time.
